Model Program Matrix
Overview of Current Programs
with Cost Estimates
Prepared by
The Wisconsin Clearinghouse
for Prevention Resources
in support of Wisconsin's State Incentive Grant Programs
About the Model Program Summary Matrix
This model program summary matrix is an expansion of the SAMHSA/CSAP and Western CAPT model program summaries identified on their web sites. We have included additional details on the costs of training and implementation of a variety of community based model programs eligible for funding under the WI State Incentive Grant.
Whenever possible, we attempted to identify implementation and ongoing costs associated with use of the program for an established number of youth and/or families. This information was gathered from the program developers and/or from their web sites. The Clearinghouse will continue to add programs as they are approved with an emphasis on including those most relevant to the Wisconsin project. We remain open to additional inclusions based on feedback from our state, and apologize for any programs inadvertently omitted. Please note that program costs and requirements can change frequently. We will attempt to update these changes as we learn of them, but we encourage you to check individual program fact sheet for contact information to get the most up-to-date costs or information on obtaining program materials, technical assistance, and any other new data available.

The Comparison Matrix consists of ratings or evaluations of prevention programs made by five Federal agencies offering the most widely recognized credible science-based assessments of prevention programs. The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) ratings are displayed along side those of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), the U.S. Department of Education (DOE), the U.S. Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The criteria used by each agency are described. The program assessments reflect the status at the time this publication was produced and may have changed since then. Be sure to check the current SAMHSA Model Programs Matrix for more up-to-date information on program assessments provided by CSAP.
