The National Institute of Justice
(NIJ) is accepting proposals to conduct comprehensive evaluations
of promising violence prevention programs. The objective is to expand
the list of effective interventions. Promising programs and strategies
with some evidence of effectiveness in the prevention of violence
to and by youth are a necessary aspect of this solicitation. To
be considered "promising," programs selected for outcome
or impact evaluation under this solicitation must have already been
developed, implemented, and demonstrated to be effective in the
prevention of violent behavior. All proposals must be submitted
electronically using grants.gov.
The submission deadline is February 24, 2006.
The solicitation (SL 000732) is available online at www.ncjrs.org/pdffiles1/nij/sl000732.pdf.
Questions should be addressed to NIJ at 2023057807.
