APPLICATION
DEADLINE EXTENDED
to January 16, 2006
To encourage
every State to recruit a Prevention Fellow, the Center for Substance
Abuse Prevention has extended the application deadline to January
16, 2006.
Wisconsin
is now accepting applications from individuals, 18 years and older
to participate in a National Prevention Fellowship Program. Applicants
must be residents of Wisconsin and be willing to work within the
Wisconsin Bureau of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services,
located within the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Services,
1 W. Wilson Street, Madison, Wisconsin, 53702. All application packages
must be received no later than January 4, 2006 according to application
instructions. Application instructions and packages are listed below,
or a copy can be mailed to you by contacting Mr. Louis Oppor, Prevention
Coordinator, Bureau of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services,
1 W. Wilson Street, Room 434, Madison, WI 53702, telephone: 608-266-9485.
The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention will
provide financial support in the amount of $35,000 annually, within
each state, for the recruitment of a Prevention Fellow. Payment
to selected participants will be made directly by the Center for
Substance Abuse Prevention. The Prevention Fellowship program is
anticipated to begin March 1, 2006. One Prevention Fellow will be
selected from the pool of applicants to participate in this program.
The Wisconsin Bureau of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
reserves the right to reject any and all applications submitted.
