"The
Milwaukee Adolescent Health Program has become a resource for
health care providers in other parts of Wisconsin. The State
of
Adolescent Health in Wisconsin takes an in-depth look at
certain risky behaviors among adolescents, explores the health-related
issues of Wisconsin's youth, and identifies populations with
specific needs or problems."
-
- The
report presents data relevant to understanding the present
state of adolescent health in Wisconsin by taking a more in-depth
look at certain risky behaviors among adolescents. The report
concentrates on 17 of Wisconsin's 72 counties, selected because
they have either a large population of youth, or a high proportation
of youth relative to the total county population. Of the 17
counties identified, the Brighter Futures Inititiative is
placed in four of the counties, including: Milwaukee, Douglas,
Racine, and Kenosha.
