The Alliance serves as a conduit
for information regarding the benefits of working with the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America. CADCA's
mission is to build and strengthen the capacity of community coalitions
to create safe, healthy and drug-free communities. The organization
supports its members with technical assistance and training, public
policy, media strategies, and marketing programs, conferences and
special events. The Alliance for Wisconsin Youth is a state-level Sustaining Member of CADCA.
As a benefit of Alliance
membership, CADCA provides the following information to local Alliance
members if email addresses are current:
- Legislative Action alerts and updates to keep
coalitions involved in time-sensitive legislative issues and informed
of congressional action and results of national public policy
efforts
- E-newsletter, providing the latest news, trends and tips to develop and maintain successful local anti-drug coalitions as well as information on funding opportunities, conferences, other alcohol, tobacco and other drugs of abuse (ATODA) prevention related activities and publications
Local Alliance member coalitions must join CADCA
directly to be considered a CADCA member. There are many benefits
to joining CADCA directly. Over 5,000 coalitions nationwide have joined,
empowering CADCA to speak on their behalf with a strong voice for
community based ATODA prevention.
